On the way up the Grand Canal from St. Mark’s Square, just before the Rialto Bridge, you will find one of the most spectacular houses in all of Venice. The Ca D’Oro … the House Of Gold. It is one of my favorite museums in the world and we always try to visit while in Venice. Our Murano glassblowers feel the same way and have named a style of their beads Ca D’Oro. These beautiful blue beads are laced with 24 carat gold, adding the most sublime shimmer to already extraordinary works of art. The 500 year old tradition of the world’s finest glassblowers is on full display here. To our own amazement, we have figured out how to bring you these authentic Ca D’Oro pieces laced with gold, but priced for pennies. Bellissima … and non troppo caro. Beautiful and not overpriced.
